So, another late night blog post, huh... Three today? I don't think I've ever done that. Then again, my last one was pretty short.
I just watched a movie. And I wanted to share my thoughts... Because they're disturbing.
It's a Ryan Gosling movie. I guess I thought I was in a Gosling kind of mood - I bet you get those too - and went on Netflix, and the only movies available for Instant Play were Half Nelson and All Good Things. I'd seen part of Half Nelson a while ago, so I thought "All Good Things? Why not".
Well...
I just realized that The Notebook is probably the only movie in which Ryan plays the good guy. Lars and the Real Girl, Drive, The Ides of March, Blue Valentine, Half Nelson... not that normal, is he? Crazy, Stupid, Love was funny and I enjoyed seeing Ryan with his shirt off, obviously, but come on... he's an asshole in that movie. He's either an asshole, a weirdo, a killer, a drug addict... And yet we're all in love with him*. Well, I had no idea what All Good Things was about before I started watching it, but I can tell you one thing: it's definitely not all good things. There's death, violence, blood, guns, murder... And Ryan dressed up as a woman. Oh my god, is he unbelievably unattractive as a woman. I did actually like the movie. It was interesting, I wasn't bored at all! But at the end of it, I started to feel much less attracted to Ryan. And that's my disturbing thought.

I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes I get into this mood (or whatever it is) where no one I found attractive is attractive anymore. I just feel like... blah. It goes away obviously. It's just... Unsettling to be thinking "Why do I find Ryan Gosling attractive again?"
I guess it's really important to keep in mind that physical appearance isn't everything AND that we all need alone time. No one is going to look amazing all the time. Even Ryan Gosling.

I never noticed him always playing the bad guy until you pointed it out...and now I'm really disturbed and fixated on it. He wasn't necessarily bad in "Blue Valentine" but he wasn't exactly the greatest person ever either. Damn him for being so beautiful and distracting we females from the fact he's normally evil (those femenist Ryan Gosling memes don't help.)

Haha! I know, I just realized that last night. I never actually watched Blue Valentine, but it looked depressing, so I didn't want to.
True, feminist Gosling memes don't help!

So hot!
Aaaaaaaah I love him anyway (:
haha.. yes in real life we want the good guy but how many assholes and bad guys to we go through to realize that..? It;s because even though we know it's bad for us we still want the bad guy who then we can fix and turn into a good guy.. so even if Gosling all of a sudden become Hannibal we will still want him and think I'm sure I can get him to stop munching on humans :) Oh and he was a good guy in Fracture..
Haha! I actually liked that movie a lot. I like that he's a weird on film ;)

I would love to see him in more nice-guy roles. He's such a great actor.

Murder By Numbers shattered my image of him. But damn, he can grow one hell of a beard!
