New Year dinner

My last 2011 meal! I thought I'd make it extra delicious... Nice way to end 2011.

Happy New Year!

I can't believe 2011 is over already. Like everyone, I will say This year has gone by so fast!
I have many things for which to be grateful.
I'm at Smith College finally interested in what I'm studying (psychology, education, feminist stuff, etc!)
I "met" a wonderful Irish guy, D.
I feel grown up, responsable, mature.
I have new friends (in Ireland, at Smith College, in France, in Australia... all over the world!)

In no particular order here are...

My Resolutions for 2012

1. Read more
2. Take more pictures
3. Learn to sew + do more crafts
4. Go out more! Have fun!
5. Go to the gym at least 4 times a week + lose weight
6. Spend less, save for important things
7. Stop being so stressed, try yoga
8. Write more songs
9. Love more
10. Be happy

Elsie gave me the fabulous idea to choose 12 pictures that represent my year of 2011. (I had to cheat, because there were too many good pictures...)

Here they are, month by month!

January: Getting my fancy camera was great! I took pictures of everything! (Louise on left, Eloise and Apolline on right)

February: Going to Prague with my mom. Soooo cold, but so beautiful.

March: Realizing that music is my life (I don't think this was really in march, but in 2011 for sure).

April: Going to Sicily with my dad.

May: Going to the Bell X1 concert in paris, bringing the Bell boys some french pastries and getting to meet one of my favorite people in the world! (Irish singer Paul Noonan)

June: Saying goodbye to Paris after 8 years together. Bye Paris, I will miss you...

July: Seeing my little cousins in Pennsylvania and having fun!

August: Getting my nose done in Colombia. I don't think I will ever get anything else done, but this was a decision I made a very very long time ago. And you know what? I feel SO much better. I love my nose. I'm not afraid of taking pictures. I feel good about myself. Sometimes, I even feel pretty! I know people don't always love plastic surgery, and it WAS frightening - but it helped me. And I'm happy.

September: Moving to Northampton, MA. Starting college. Smith College! Love it.

October: Meeting my ultimate inspiration: the always amazing, lovely, beautiful, Irish singer Lisa Hannigan.

November: Thanksgiving at my friend Alex's house in Vermont. Had loads of fun (we also did a little photoshoot for fun. LOVED IT)

December: Coming back to Paris for Xmas. So happy.

Hope you all have a great New Year! 2012 - a new start. Forgive and forget. Be happy - alone and with others. Live. Life is so short. Have fun! Don't die.

Love, Freedom & Truth,

V.
